7 Ways To Revive Personality Development
We all have certain traits for personality development which distinguish us from the rest. A mixture of good and evil, these characteristics determine how we respond to people and circumstances. However, the most common belief is that such symptoms remain definite.
A research at the University of Illinois states that once, we can change our characteristics of personality development already given to us, what we want them to be.
If we want to be the best version of ourselves, then we can change ourselves accordingly. So if you're ready for the most awesome version of yourself, here are some personality development tips:
TIPS
#1. Know you are incomparable
You are lowering your self-development by comparing yourself to others. It shortens your personality development and does not allow your strengths to flourish. Always remember that you and the person you are comparing with, both are unique and are incomparable.
#2. Be kind to you
Our elders always taught us to be kind to others but yet, many of us, fail to be kind to ourselves. Yes, it’s so true. If you’re not kind to yourselves then others will also not respect you. And there’s a saying for that, “if you want to be respected, then first respect yourself”.
Studies show that self-improvement brings positive characteristics such as optimism, wisdom, happiness, positivism and resilience. According to Stanford University's research psychologist Emma Sepala, self-compassion implies three stages:
- Recognize you deserve care and concern like nobody else
- Accept that committing mistakes and failure is part of life.
- Be mindful of one's emotions and feelings.
Contrary to popular belief, compassion for oneself doesn't mean letting oneself get off the hook. Rather, it means taking corrective action, albeit critical of oneself.
#3. Give room to imperfection
Individuals and circumstances do not always fit your ideal frame. Often what excites and enrages eventually reduces the power of their personality development. To find your peace amidst the imperfections of the world, even if you are trying to bring change.
#4. Light in mind and heart
Don’t think too much and don’t ever over-analyse. Never let any negativity like shame, anger, jealousy or greed stay in your consciousness for a very long time. Learn to take it easy instead; easily forgive as soon as you pop up and leave complaints against people. Having light in the heart and mind makes you happy from the inside. And who doesn't like people with happiness?
#5. Stay warm and friendly
We all like people we can easily talk with. Nobody likes to react with a straight face. So, just learn how to be soft. Flash the ones that smile more often. Be friendly, ready to share, and help.
#6 Does more style stuff
Doing styled stuff adds zing to your personality development. The secret to doing style stuff lies in working with passion and a quiet mind. So when you're working on something, don't let anything distract you by putting all of your energy in it. So be relaxed too.
#7. Keep the breath calm
A person's personality development is strengthened by remaining calm. However, when you have a terrible headache and an immediate deadline to meet, it can be difficult to stay calm. In such situations, harness the power of breathing. As soon as you realize this, your stress will reduce!
